Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and specializes in surgery, being a pioneer in liver transplantation and complex diseases in gastrointestinal surgery, pancreatic and bile. Considered one of the world’s foremost authorities in surgery and transplantation, and innovator in the current surgical techniques, is also Chief of General Surgery and Abdominal Transplantation of Hospital 12 de Octubre. Their contributions are important to the treatment of portal hypertension, malignant tumors of the biliary tract and liver. He has developed new surgical procedures, such as mesenteric-cava derivation of the internal jugular vein or the cancer treatment extended esophagogastrectomy thistles. She has worked extensively on the increase and improvement of organ donations in Spain and on techniques for improving the effectiveness of transplantation.Professor of Surgical Pathology at the University Complutense of Madrid. He is currently the Head of Department of General and Transplant Surgery Hospital Abs October 12, and Chief of Surgery Light Clinic, where doctors shared operating rooms with the likes of Dr. Villarejo, Dr. Palaz n or Dr. Kaybel. At present, continues to develop fully their research and teaching activities.
