Pedro Almodovar is no stranger to the film holiday in New York. Almost all the movies of the eclectic work acclaimed Spanish filmmaker has made his debut in the Stateside Festival from Tacones Lejanos 1991. For the uninitiated, Almodovar is known for his complex narratives that employ code of melodrama, and spliced with elements of pop culture, pop music, irreverent humor, palettes of vibrant colors and strong female protagonists. His 2004 noir bad education, starring Gael Garcia Bernal as femme fatale transvestite, was the centerpiece of the film of the New York Film Festival, and Almodovar was honored at the Festival by his all of his work. In recent years, the first Muse of Almodovar, actress Carmen Maura – who appeared in seven of his films, including his first in 1980, Pepi, Luci, Bom and other girls from the heap – has been replaced by the spectacular Penelope Cruz. Cruz achieved international recognition through his various collaborations with Almodovar, in 1997 with Live flesh, which showed a cross appearing in a supporting role.

Met with the master of cinema – again in a secondary role – in all about my mother, as a pregnant nun. After testing the waters of Hollywood in a series of films of less fame (see: the mandolin of Captain Corelli, Vanilla Sky, Sahara, etc), made his return as the protagonist Raymunda in return (his first lead role in a film by Almodovar). The role of Cruz confirms its status as one of the actresses with more talent in the international film, and won numerous awards, including a Goya Award for best actress, a Cannes best actress, and a nomination Oscar best actress award only the second actress to do so. Again, the last Almodovar film, he also served as the Centre of the Festival of cinema New York’s 2006. His latest – and fourth – most collaboration is broken embraces. Harry is a blind writer who shares his life with his personal assistant Judith and her adult son Diego. When Harry learns that millionaire Ernesto died, begins to bring painful memories of his previous life as her first love – the impressive aspiring actress Magdalena (Penelope Cruz). A beautiful film is within the film neo-noir, and in turn broken embraces is the film that closed the New York Film Festival of 2009. -The best information to get a loan, whether for your home or your business found in financing companies, and mortgage calculation.
